Referring to Marlborough Medical Imaging

We are an approved ACC provider, Southern Cross Affiliated and known provider of medical imaging services to all other major New Zealand health insurance providers. We accept referrals for AC related injuries, private referrals, Ministry of Health funded maternity ultrasounds and private maternity ultrasounds for those not eligible for New Zealand funded health care.

We accept x-ray and ultrasound imaging referrals from Specialists, GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Midwives, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths within New Zealand. MRI referrals will in most cases require referral from a specialist. However, in some instances a GP referral is accepted. Such as via the ACC GP MRI Referral Program and if the patient is wanting to pay privately with out the use of health insurance. All health insurance providers require MRI referrals to be issued by a specialist. Link to xray/ultrasound and MRI referral forms.
